Chmod command to reset directory permissions

Hello,
I need help resetting the file permissions on a directory (unix, AIX 4.2).  Originally, the directory's permissions were:
drwx--S---

The permissions on the directory got changed to:
drwxrwxrwx

Now the SSH session between my two servers is failing.
