Browse All TopicsHello,
I am a newbie to the AIX OS, we have an AIX 5.3 environment that was given to me to use and experiment with. I need to install some database software and test stuff, however the OS was recently formatted and I need to start at the basics and create a FS and allocate all the space available.
The file-system creation is much different than what I am used to, can someone give me a quick run down on creating a JFS2 file-system on this?
Right now I only have 1 logical group, the root_vg
I have a few physical volumes available to be used for space:

hdisk1
hdisk2
hdisk3
hdisk4

What do i need to create to make a JFS2 file-system out of them?
Please let me know, and thank you.
