The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Update FreeBSD 4.11-STABLE to CURRENT STABLE VERSION that support all my ports.

I would like to update FreeBSD 4.11-STABLE server to the newest stable version.
Currently I have to following ports installed non sequential order:

1. SSH
2. SQUID
3. HTTP-TUNNEL
4. MSQL
5. PHPBB
6. VBULLITIN
7. WEBMIN
8. FTP
9. SFTP
10. SSL
11. SOCKS4
12. SOCKS5
13. HOSTING 4 DOMAINS WITH 1 STATIC IP ADDRESS
14. HTTP
15. HTTPS
16. SMTP
17. IMAP4

How can I up date it from the command prompt with just a few commands?

I have 7.2-RELEASE-i386-disc1.iso,  7.2-RELEASE-i386-disc2.iso, 7.2-RELEASE-i386-disc3.iso, unfortunately when I put in Disc 1 it just spins and the hard drive light stays on.

When I put in the 4.11-STABLE Disc 1 it boots right up?

The reason I would like to update is that HTTP, SSL, FTP, Gopher SOCKS5 in Firefox and Internet Explorer just show a blank white screen. I can get SOCKS5 to work by disabling the other protocols. That's not what I wanted to do I was planning on providing ssh tunnel account for my clientele Plus I would like something up to date.
