i understand i can upgrade from portupgrade. Do i need to remove the svn appliaction before i do port upgrade?
Could any harm come to my FSFS repositories if i upgrade the svn application to the latest version?

from what i'm reading... when upgrading between major versions it says to always do a full dump of every repository... upgrade, then load the dumps back in to the new version.
The book i read said you can upgrade repos to new versions, but you cannot revert the repo back if something goes wrong (to the old version). The full repo dumps would ensure i can revert back if any problems occur.
Would you agree with that?
