FreeBSD install

I have a compaq presario 2200 that I am trying to install FreeBSD on. The computer is not connected to the internet and can not burn CDs. So I am forced to burn my installation CD using my Macintosh G3 with OS 9.1, the program I am using to burn is SONY Discribe PPC v2.96. My problem is that I can't get my installation CD to boot on the Compaq. From FreeBSD.org I downloaded 5.1-RELEASE-i386-disc1.iso and burned it onto an ISO-9660 CD, it is my understanding that this file alone is enough to create a bootable CD which has all the installation materials neccessary. This is my first experience with unix and is also the first time Ive tried to make a bootable PC CD, is it possible that I am making the right CD but can't run i386 on a presario 2200
