If it installed and you just dont know how to run it, add startkde to your .xinitrc in your home dir

Browse All TopicsArg...! I cannot get KDE to install on OpenBSD. I am a sorta a newb to this, but here is what I tried.
untared ports.tar.gz and src.tar.gz to the proper directorys /usr/%dir%
cd /usr/ports/x11/kde
make depend
make
make install
I have no idea if that how I was supposed to try and install it, but it didn't work.
could someone please enlighten me

awww crap... it failed again.
the last thing it was trying to do was;

guess I'll just have to wait untill someone fixes the FTP
why dont you just
pkg_add ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/
and save your compileing time???

what the hell was I thinking, I'm using OpenBSD! lol
but anyway, I tried gheists method, but it failed to install some dependencys, I think the ftp is messed up because I cant even download them with my windows machine.

pkg_add /cdrom/kdebase-<tab>
or
cd /usr/ports/kde/kdebase && make install && make clean
please show output of uname -a to get more tips
