When attempting to install a retail copy of OS X 10.3 onto a Powerbook G4 laptop I keep getting a message stating that "there were errors installing the software". I'd tried doing a full format of the disc, upgrading from the point of the error, and nothing changes the error itself. I haven't sat in front of it to see exactly where it errors out, but it definitely passes the installation media check as well as the hard drive formatting and partitioning. The disc itself is close to pristine, and isn't dirty let alone scratched. Anyone have any ideas?
