Bluetooth: Not Available

Hello,

I have recently (as of 2 weeks ago) replaced my big desktop computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro running Tiger (10.4.8) . I was loving it, Parallels and Boot Camp, truly allowing me to have the best of both worlds. Untill...

I needed to have my IT department add the machine to the Corporate Domain. They said they needed to keep it overnight. When I got the machine back, the power button was pushed into the chassis: ... ( I was very annoyed, however Apple was glad to fix it for me this past Friday. They replaced the top cover of the unit and it looks good as new.

Now to the problem...

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse here at work. When I got in to the office this morning, I could not get them to work no matter how I tried... When I click on the Bluetooth Icon, on the menu bar at the top of the screen, it just says "Bluetooth: Not Available", and the System Profiler under Hardware>Bluetooth says "No information found".

I have found a few support threads elsewhere, that say to disconnect all USB devices and power off the unit for a minute. I have tried this. I have also reset the PMU.

Is it possible that the Bluetooth got disconnected or damaged during the top cover replacement, or is this a simple configuration issue? I would love to not have to go back to the Apple store, and leave my laptop there for a few more days...

Any thoughts, or Ideas?
