SMB Printing on Mac OS X 10.5

I am trying to figure out how to print via SMB from a Mac OS X 10.5 machine. We are trying to print to a Windows 2003 Print Server where printing is authenticated to Active Directory and tracked to a SQL database by Print Manager Plus Academic.

With previous versions of OS X, we were able to setup our Mac clients by doing the following:
1) Open Printer Setup Utility (located in /Applications/Utilities).

2) Mac OS X 10.4.x users: Choose Add Printer from the Printers menu, then hold the Option key while clicking the "More Printers" button.
Mac OS X 10.3.x users: Hold the Option key down while choosing Add Printer from the Printers menu.

3) Choose Advanced from the first pop-up menu.

4) Choose Windows Printer via SAMBA from the Device pop-up menu.

5) In the Device Name field, type in the name from the table below or any name you would like to identify the printer.

6) In the Device URI field, use the exact format as you see below inserting the highlighted variables with the appropriate information.

smb://username:password@ourdomain/printserver/printer

username= domain username
password= user password
printer= name of print queue

The menus in the OS X 10.5 printer setup are different now and we see no options for SMB printing. Start Free Trial
