install osx-leopard105.dmg

I am a somewhat versed windows person but am new to Mac OSX. I have tiger currently installed and i have the latest osx-leopard105.dmg file which is 6.5gb. I have a DL DVD but I dont know whether I can just toast the .dmg straight to the DL DVD and boot with that or what. Please explain how to install this.Start Free Trial
