Mac Book Pro Wireless connection

I am currently running Mac OS X 10.4.9 on my Mac Book Pro and I am NEW to Apple products. I am trying to  setup an Internet connection to automatically connect to my wireless network at my house. For some reason I cannot keep the setting saved once I reboot. I always have to go to the wireless connection, select Other, and then input my SSID, WEP as my Wireless Security, and then my pass code. Is there anyway I can setup my Mac book pro to automatically connect to my wireless network or do I manually have to configure it everytime. My wireless router is a Linksys router.
