Unable to install Mac OSX update 10.4.2

Hi,

I'm new to the Mac experience and I'm having problems installing the OSX update 10.4.2.  I downloaded the update without any problems.  When I start the installation process, I am able to progress through the different screens up until "Select A Destination".  Here, the Macintosh HD icon has the red exclamation mark on it.  The error message below it states "You cannot install Mac OS X Update on this volume.  This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."

The update needs 125MB of space, and I have more then 49GB free.  I installed Bootcamp earlier today, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with this.

Appreciate any help-
