I can't re-install the software because they can't afford to have the server down, and I don't want to risk it either because they don't do a system backup but only data...Is there any way of resetting the root passwd or is there a way of getting in to my other home directory (because I kept a copy of the root passwd in there (don't worry it was encrypted))...I remember securing my super user account very tight but again I am not an expert as some...If some how I can copy the file from my super user account to my normal user account would solve the problem too... I can see the shadow file...very much go anywhere except my own home drive lol...any ideas would help
