SCO printer will not print

The digiboard in the SCO box I rebuilt is finally working. The printer connected to ttya04 will print using lponlcr, but will not print files. Here is the result of LPSTAT -t:

# lpstat -t

device for LP3: /dev/ttyc10

LP2 is the default printer, as can be seen. What am I missing? What is the easiest way to check on jobs in a SCO (or Linux) print queue? I know the port work because printing from /usr/lib/lponlcr works as detailed here:
