Is there a replacement for SCO OpenServer(TM) Release 5

Asked by jjc_mn in Unix Operating Systems, Linux, SCO Unix

I have a (poor) customer that is running a (I kid you not) 1980's version of Informix .  They can't afford to upgrade the Informix. It works for them and the owner knows how to keep Informix running but The i386 machine it's running on is on it's last legs. I would like to build a new box before the old one dies with a newer version of *nix but I can't recompile the Informix EXE's . Does anybody know if any newer *nix would run Informix without recompiling. The version it's running on now is  SCO OpenServer(TM) Release 5 (SCO_SV acct2 3.2 2 i386). Start Free Trial
