We can't even get the cdrom device to mount. I'm afraid we're going to have to do a complete reinstallation.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsWe have two SCO Unixware 7.1.4 servers and recently (accidentally) restored some of the configuration information from one to the other via a tape restore. We have fixed most of the problems except for getting the NIC to work again. We tried to run idbuild but get the error
UX:idmkunix:ERROR: Identical character device major number range, 6-66, for 'cevt' and 'cled'
'cevt' is the Compaq Event Logging Driver and 'cled' is the Compaq Proliant Processor driver. The two machines are Compaq Proliant ML370s. The one we are trying to fix is the G3 version and the one the tape was from is a G4.
I'm trying to find out how to get past this idbuild error. Any help would be appreciated.
