ALERT: pmcd[804] - out of logical swap space during brk/sbrk - see swap(1M) - Error message
Hi -
I've having problems with on of my SGI O2 IRIX 6 machines lately. Just about everyday this error message appears -
"Critical System Error. ALERT: pmcd[804] - out of logical swap space during brk/sbrk - see swap(1M)"
Along with the error message you cannot telnet or ftp into the machine (although you can ping it). Once the workstation is restarted you can now telnet/ftp into until the this error message appears. This is happens about everyday.
The admin of the workstation has already tried this - http://www.linuxsa.org.au/pipermail/linuxsa/2003-June/055925.html, but it doesn't resolve the issue.
Any ideas??
