HPUX on VMWARE

I have never installed HPUX before.  I am trying to install HPUX 11i on a VMWare instance for testing purposes.  I can not get the CD to boot to begin any type of setup.  Do I need a boot disk?

Please help.

What platform are you running VMWare on?  x86?  If so, as of last year, "HP has publicly stated it has no plans to port HP-UX to its x86 based systems. This was revealed in a recent interview with Ann Livermore, Head of HP's Enterprise Systems division, in InfoWorld ("No Need for HP-UX on x86", Robert McMillan and Patrick Thibodeau, IDG News Service, August 17, 2004): "

Which basically means it won't run on x86 hardware.  Now VMWare might be usable on non-x86 platforms - I don't know.  But it would help if you provided more detailed information.
