how to config the terminal on solaris 7 so that I press ESC ket it will complete directory name or filename for me

If yours is c shell

add this line to ur .cshrc

set filec


then use ESC to get the full directory/file name.

what about other shell ? e.g. bash

 <tab> works out instead of ESC.
