I have a V100 that is in a data center about 1000 miles away. I have serial console connection which allows me to do the things one would normally expect.
However, the machine occasionally gets into a state (net boot) where it no longer responds to BREAK signals. When this happens, I have to call the operator to power-cycle the machine so I can get back to the ok> prompt. Unfortunately the operator isn't always there and it's a PITA to have to call them every time I need the machine reset.
Does anyone know if it's possible to use the lights-out management features to help recover from this scenario? Is there a special character sequence (other than BREAK) that will allow me to escape to the LOM prompt via the serial console?

If break doesn't work, nothing running on the system itself if likely to work.
My suggestion is getting a remotely-manageable PDU.
This is basically a power-strip that has a network interface and lets you power-cycle the machine via telnet/ssh/snmp.
A google search for "pdu remote management" brought me lots of products
