DHCP clients are not getting there's hostname for dhcp server in solaris 8

Hi,

I configured  one system as dhcp client , but it is not getting it's host name from the server. What could be the problem. Pl help me out

do you have the hostnames you want to assign to the clients in the dhcp-servers /etc/hosts - files ?

Yes , I have the /etc/hosts file at server side

Yes , Client entry is there in /etc/hosts file. Any ethers file has to configured?
