gdb doesn't resolve the function names

Hi,

I have compiled my piece of code on the machine (Details - SunOS hlridev 5.10 Generic_118833-33 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-280R) with -g option and applied the patch on the machine (Details - SunOS blrce4 5.10 Generic_127111-03 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V440). For some reason I get a core and when i try to  do 'bt' and 'where' i get an output of the sort (gdb) where #0  0xff2c596c in ?? () ..

I couldn't figure out the reason why I am unable to get the function names. No optmization flags are set and it is compiled purely with the -g option.

Is there any problem with the symbol table. I am not going anywhere with this issue for the past 1 week??

Please help.

Thanks,
Anand.
