I'm trying to configure a new network port on the server.
I think i've done everything to get the port working. But when the servers boots up the link is down.
i specified the ip and hostname in /etc/hosts
i specified the netmasks /etc/netmask
i made a hostname.bge3 file and put the hostname of the interface there.

and if execute the command ifconfig -a it shows me:
bge0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
        inet 10.28.137.11 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 10.28.137.255
        ether 0:14:4f:0:62:ac
bge3: flags=1000803<UP,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 4
        inet 90.203.135.70 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 90.203.135.255
        ether 0:14:4f:0:62:af

i already tried to use ndd:
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_autoneg_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_pause_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_asym_pause_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_1000fdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_1000hdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_100fdx_cap 1
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_100hdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_10fdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/bge3 adv_10hdx_cap 0

and still the switch-port is shutting down. (and also tried another switch port, cables etc)
i've included a bit of the dmesg...
