whether I should continue with the installation of the lsof package from sunfreeware OR not ?

Dear Experts,

I need some advice on whether I should continue with the installation of the lsof package from sunfreeware OR not ?
As I am getting the dependency error. Thanks in Advance.

Do you need it in all zones?  If not, try adding it with -G option to disable zone propagation and only add it to the current zone.

# pkgadd -G -d lsof_0508-4.80-sol10-sparc-local

I am installing the package on the Global Zone.

I am getting below error :

pkgadd: ERROR: no packages were found in </var/spool/pkg>

That is odd, did you miss the -d or something?  If you did not, maybe copy the package into /var/spool/pkg as it's the default search location for pkgadd.

Here is what happens on my system with zones.

bash-3.00# zoneadm list
global
testzone 
bash-3.00# pkgadd -G -d lsof_0508-4.80-sol10-x86-local 
The following packages are available:
  1  SMClsof     lsof
                 (x86) 4.80

Thanks a lot that helped me I was passing the switch wrong.
I need one more favour. How can I install the lsof utility on the Global zone and the non-global zones at the same time. And it should work on non-global zones as well. yesterday I tried But it did not work on the non global zones.

I don't think lsof can work INSIDE the non-global zone.  It polls information from /dev/ksyms and only global zone have access to that file.
