I get an error java.io.IOException: Bad record length of -2021068228 at byte 0x00da146e of file, when parsing a heap dump using HAT and jHAT

I am trying to analyse a 2 GB heap dump taken from java1.4 "IBM hotspot" running in solaris 8, but i get an error, java.io.IOException: Bad record length of -2021068228 at byte 0x00da146e. Is there any way that i can read this dump to analyse the objects. Start Free Trial
