Dual booting XP home & linux RH 8.0

I've dual booted before... but for some reason I can't get it to work on XP. Anyways.. I've tried to get it to dual boot a few different ways, and it either won't load windows, or it won't load either.. or something else is wrong. I need someone to walk me through partitioning XP home edition and linux Red Hat 8.0 step-by-step. Most importantly I need to know: What to use for partitioning, What partitions to make (what extension, how much space, what file type (fat32, ntfs or whatever they are), and what order), and which order of installing OS's would be best. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
