Can Enterprise Manager be configured from SQL* PLUS? and if so how?

The Suggestions I recieved so far: nmap <hostname> and netstat -l|grep tcp rcvd from VM did not solve my problem though I appreciate the effort. I am using VMware server 1.0.6 with Red Hat Linux 5.4 as its O/S and installing Oracle 11g v1 database in it. The Database was successfully installed. However EM was not configured and I want to do that. i am very new to this and not quite sure where the problem lies:-
