Recover VDMK files from flat.vdmk

Somehow one of my .vdmk files was deleted from the folder.  I tried to recover the file with shadow copy but in the middle of the file coming over it errored out saying it cannot copy.  Then I went to try it again and that shadow copy and all prior ones are gone.  I have the flat file and the .vmx file but I cannot find a way to recover the other vdmk file.  It was something like 00002.vdmk.  If I use one of the others vmdk (like 00001) it says "Cannot open the disk 'f:\virtual machines\windows server 2003 standard edition\Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition-000001.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.
Reason: The file specified is not a virtual disk."

There are no longer any snapshots either.Start Free Trial
