How to install WIndows 2008 on VMWare ESX

Im trying very simply to install Windows 2008 on VMware ESX, I installed the VMware ESX on the server, and I conenct to it using the VMware infrastructure client, but when I try to setup windows 2008, it tells me
"Attempting to load an x64 operating system, however this CPU is not compatible with x64 mode"

I have installed windows 2008 on this same server no problem earlier, and I want it to have the same installation, just with the VMware layer underneath.  am i doing something wrong?Start Free Trial
