AIX booting problem

AIX stuck while booting
the IBM p650 just shows 0c33 on the LED.
when i connect a console, it shows starting sofware, the boot path and now its just stuck.
Just need to know the procedure for recoveering AIX software from such problems.
including scandisk like processes and re-installing/re-configuring........

Do you have books that came with your system ???
When you connect console - is it called HMC or InfoWindow ???

There is no scandisk process in AIX , it has journaling filesystem long before DOS that ensures filesystem integrity in case of unexpected power loss.

0c33 is not AIX error and not p650 firmware error, please power on system using console, and post few latest LED codes from console

ASKER

Thanks. i figured it out was a some strange error that made the system halt. it only needed the recovery disk to boot the system. it will be nice if you can help me with some links to aix resources other than the IBM site.
also it will be nice to know: how to remove the errors from disk .

> how to remove the errors from disk
this is impossible, and very undesirable.
You have to change defective hardware.
