Suse 9.2, read ntfs with IDE controller

I have an IDE controller with an NTFS hard disk attached.  How do I configure Suse 9.2 to read that disk?

Thanks

Is this going to be the same if there are partitions on that ntfs hard disk?
No, it has to be done per partition. If you have connected the disk as slave on the first IDE controller, the disk will be hdb. The first primary partition is 1, the second primary is 2, so that would be hdb1 and hdb2. If you have an extended partition with logical drives, the first logical drive would be hdb5, and so on.

Just to be clear, my ntfs drive is connected via a PCI IDE controller, not the motherboard on board controller.  hdb1/2 are actually the linux partitions, is there a way to reference the IDE controller?
Sure, the letters will just go upwards, probably something like hde upwards. I think SuSE has a System info tool, which should show you what hardware it has found, and that should include the devices...

Hmm, cant seem to find what my hard disk is shown as.  Suse find the actual RAID card, just not the hard disks attached to it.  I've tried mounting hda1 --> hdh1 with no luck.  Can you think of anything else?
