Installing Intel GMA 950 video card in Fedora Core 5 running on Lenovo X60s
- I have a Lenovo/Thinkpad X60s with an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card running Fedora Core 5
- The screen keeps flickering under Linux (it does not under XP). I suspect the flickering is related to the video card driver.
- By default, Fedora Core 5 has a driver labeled "i810 -- Intel Integrated Graphics Chipset". However, this driver is not fully compatible with my Intel GMA 950 card.
How can I find & install the right driver for my video card? If it is not available, has anybody found a work-around / compatible driver?
I am a newbie, so I would appreciate as much detail in the answer as possible.
Thank you for any help!

Thank you for the suggestion. This driver only appears to work for SuSE systems. The readme file that you referenced above, for example, only contains instructions for SuSE. What can I do with my Fedora Core 5 system?
I am not really sure if the rpm works on Fedora Core 5. I don't have a system with GMA950, I would think that you should be able to try installing it using the RPMs. If it fails go back to i810.
