Need help trouble-shooting "no display" problem....

Hello,

I am trying to recover a system.

It is a long story, but basically here is what I did:
a) wiped out the disk
b) installed a minimal install of redhat
c) installed a recovery client (something called TSM) to the  minimal redhat install, and then partitioned the disk and created filesystems of the old system (mounted them to /tmp/a/root, /tmp/a/usr, etc), and then I "restored" the filesystems to the temporary mount points.

d) I set GRUB and fstab to boot/mount the correct partitions.
e) I rebooted, and all the checks were good.

PROBLEM: After the reboot, the system comes up, but there is no display, just an occasional flicker. I can go into single user mode fine.

CAN ANYONE offer some way of trouble shooting this?

THanks,
Keith

Great Keith!

So, is the system running on the "restore" now, everything working?
