Samba - Authentication

When I open up Samba (GUI) I changed the server settings "security" tab to authenticate using 'user'.  But when the server reboots, or even if I close Samba and go back into it it defaults back to SHARE and I am unable to connect to it from my XP box.

How can I get it to stay at 'user'?

Thanks for the tips.  It got me looking in the right place.  All I had to do was add the following line to /usr/samba/smb.conf

security=USER

Intern :)
I still want to know for future users sake where you where editing samba from

I was going through the GUI (i.e. 'foot(or start menu) - Server Settings - More Server Settings - Samba)  That is where I was adding shares and users.  There is also a server configuration protion.
