cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core (yum)
I am trying to use yum on rh fedora 5 to do quick update but it has now become it's own troubleshooting hell.
This is the error:
cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core
Error: cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core
What is this and how to get rid of it?

ygoutham,
i notice in your conf file that the line for core baseurl is commented out. Does yum work on your system?
It's funny, on my system all the files in the folder you mention have the baseurl line commented out. I uncommented that line in each of the files and now yum seems to work. This was a fresh install of fedora 5.
Anyway thanks.
