windows xp freezes at startup

hello, iam having problems with windows xp.  i took a HD out of a computer then put it on the other computer and installed xp on it. it worked fine.  so i took off that hard drive and put it back into its main computer.  but now windows xp freezes up, it just shows the loading white bar, and its not animated (frozen).  did i do something wrong?

the reason i took the hard drive off is because it was formatted and i tried to install windows xp but the cd wouldn't boot, and the BIOS was too old, i couldn't choose the booting device. so i moved it into the other newer computer :)
