Hi
I Have problems with my HD 2GB with Win98, I had deleted the existent partitions and created a new partitions with FDISK command then I formated in the MS DOS, but before I did a backup of most important data, but those data are disappeared, there is some forms of recuperate those data of the HD formated?
Still did not I install another OS.

Because you say you deleted the existing partitions. If you deleted ALL the exsisting partions, then you've also deleted the partition with the backup on it. No File recovery SW will be able to help you there.
You also state that you then formatted the disk in MS-DOS - I presume you mean you used MS-DOS to format the disk (probably with a FAT32 file system). In this case, you've not only deleted the drive partitions, but also written over any of the partitions pointers that may have been recoverable.
Your only chance is most probably a disk forensics expert - but this can cost you $1000 a MB.
Can you give more information about the whereabouts of this backup, and exactly all the steps you took?
Putting the disk in another machine as the slave drive is VERY GOOD advice and the first thing you should do.
