It is called a Volume License, and has a specific amount of licenses tied to it
Check with your Supplier, how many licenses accompany your copy of Windows XP pro, or called Microsoft, they should be able to tell you.
Once you have that information, you can install Windows XP Pro, and every time an installation is activated via Microsoft over the internet, 1 license will be removed from your allocated amount.
Or you could install, on as many pcs as you want, you will know when you fail to activate, that your license limit has been reached. You should then acquire more licenses.
