Sorry, I'm a bit slow, can you explain more about burning to CD from the image file. How do I do it that way?
That depends on which software you are using to burn the CD.
The program will have a "Burn from ISO" or "Burn from image file" or similar option. Using this, you can burn the ISO file to CD, without any modifications.
CD burning software also have "simulation" mode, where data is not actually written to CD, but simulated. If there is any problem (such as data size exceeding CD size), it will give you error, and abort, saving your (now-a-days very cheap) CD media.
However, if you don't want the ISO image to burn "as-is", but want to modify it, you need to extract the contents using some software (mentioned above), and use "Burn data CD" or similar option of burner program.
Further, if ISO image is created to make a bootable CD, you need to extract boot image, and burn data CD with bootable option selected under your burner program, and by providing the path to the bootable image extracted from ISO file.
If you let us know which CD burning program you intend to use, people here may be able to help you in detail.

Example 1
Download Alcohol 120%
http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/
It's a fully functional 30 day trial. Install. Start the program, let it create the virtual drive. On the left, there should be a button that says "Image Finder". Click it and have it scan the c:\ drive or location of the image. When it finds it, right click it and "Add selected files to Alcohol 120%". You can now right click the file and choose "Mount on device". It will put in on the virtual drive. This will let you see the image.
You can click the "Image Making Wizard" to select the image and burn it.

I did everything but it still tries to burn the image whitch is still larger than a 80min cd-r. I did delete files that I could do without like the Support folder and help, but it still lef tme with 717mb, still too large for an 80 cd-r. I suppose my last question is can I squish this on a cd-r and still have itwork . or do i need to locate a 90min cd-r. I researched them they are hard to find and only seems to be sold online
hmm.. well if you need to slim down the image a bit. try using Tree size professional to see where you could squeeze a few more mb out.

What does this bootable ISO contain ? If it has some folders for language options, you might be able to remove them too.
Game, music and vedio CDs sometimes contain "sub-channel data", which is used to prevent cloning of these CDs. Because of this, the CD size appears larger than its contents. Accordingly, the ISO file created too becomes larger than real.
However, this technique is normally not used with bootable CDs.

Also, remember, I could burn on a cd-r if it was 700mb in stead of 733mb? 733 won't fit on a regular cd-r
