How do I get a list of all ip addresses on a network segment

Good Morning:

How do I get a list of IP addresses (or all computer workstations) on a network. I am familiar with ping, tracert, netstat etc but I cant seem to remember one that gives all the pc's on a network. Will arp -a do this? I appreciate your help.

Best Regards

I am sorry, I did not clarify myself. I also have application tools that allow me to see all IP addresses on a network. I thank you for your response on this. What I want to do is learn the correct command prompt command that will allow me to do this.

thanks

Hi,

i belive the command you may be looking for is "NET View" That should show you a list of all the PCs on the network.

Hope This helps...

Admin4XP:

This is good, net view gives me the names of the machines (which I can ping to find the ip addresses on ). Is there a command that gives me the IP addresses instead of the names?
