Did you modify the default Active Directory configuration?  ie, did you create any new OU's or move any computers or users out of the default OU's?

I deployed Exchange SP1 and SP2 today. The only error I'm logging now is #1.

I had to uninstall ISA2004 over the weekend.
How might I have created a new OU? I'm not really sure what an Organizational Unit is.

I have been getting the 1054 event since 3/5/2006. I'm don't remember exactly what I did that day. I think I moved several users (workstations) over to the domain. They had been using local accounts previously.
Actually I think the ISA uninstall was also last weekend.
If you aren't really sure what an OU is, then that's okay.  You didn't mess with them.  :-)

Did you use the wizards to add users to the domain?  And then using the http://<servername>/connectcomputer to join the workstations?

If not, this can cause a 1054 error.

I connect the workstations into the domain using the Windows XP, System Properties, Computer Name>Change wizard.
I believe I added the users using the SBS wizard. But I may have entered some of them manually. How can I follow up on this?

Is there a summary or utility that I could run in order to figure out what is configured improperly? I could post the results here.
Otherwise I think I will need to call in some help on this one.
Thanks again.
There isn't anything native to Small Business Server 2003 that will inventory the client workstations to ensure that they were added correctly and provide any kind of report.

But if you didn't use connectcomputer, you'll have to fix all of them anyhow.

For user accounts, you can run the "Change User Permissions" wizard and reapply the appropriate template (user, mobile, poweruser, administrator) which will fix any of those that you added manually.  When adding a user manually you miss out on not getting an automaticly created mailbox, Sharepoint account or user quota settings.

To fix the workstations, you must do the following:

The following needs to be done with the client machine:
1.  Log in with THAT machine's LOCAL administrator account.
2.  Unjoin the domain into a WORKGROUP
3.  Change the name of the computer
4.  Delete or rename the following directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Clients
5.  Reboot

Then on the server, from the Server Management Console:
1.  Remove the client computers if it still shows in the Client Computer screen on the Server Management Console
2.  Add the client with it's NEW name using the Add Computer wizard

Then, go back to the client machine and join the domain by opening Internet Explorer and navigating to http://servername/connectcomputer

By doing this the following will be accomplished for each workstation:

Assign application(s) to client computers:
- Client Operating System Service Packs
- Internet Explorer 6.0
- Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (Service Pack 1)
- Shared Fax Client

Advanced Client Computer Settings:
- Configure Internet Explorer Settings
- Configure Outlook Profile Settings
- Configure Desktop Settings
- Configure Fax Printer
- Configure Printers
- Configure Fax Configuration Information
- Configure Remote Desktop

YES! only one user/workstation seems to be working properly so that the Outlook Exchange mail account is set up automatically...and obviously many other settings.

I'll try the stuff you suggest.
This is the log file for the User Permissions Wizard...I'm wondering if I should just remove the users and start over?

Thanks Jeff, I'm going to level my server here in the next couple of weeks. I'll post any related questions.
Sounds like a good decision.  If you have time, order Harry Brelsford's Small Business Server 2003 Best Practices book (http://sbsurl.com/best) because it will guide you through the process rather well.
