I have just received a new solaris system with solaris 8 pre-installed. However, the network is not setup. There is not hostname.le0 or wharever extension, if I do a ifconfig -a I only see the localhost.<br />

how do I configure the system that is starts using a fixed IP address, and that it starts the network card. currently I have no clue how the card is named or should be named &nbsp;(le0, hme0 etc ??) I know if I install the system from scratch it will be done for me, but there must be a shorter way to have the network activated and setup...<br />
