How do I move Windows 2000 Local Users between machines?
Is there a method of moving local users from one Windows 2000 machine to another?
I have several thousand local users I have to get moved, and am looking for any method of doing so -- a mass import/export would be wonderful.

Idea Migration would be perfect, except for the fact that it costs $1 per user, I have some 4000 users to move, and this is a one time operation - I don't have a snowball's chance in h*** of convincing the powers that be around here to drop that kind of cash for this (at least not yet).
What? Are you sure it will not export and re-import the users in demo mode ? ... It seemed to run on my station here & perform the export function.. I also found an article from windows magasine that echo's this...

-Nice.. I will try Hyena myself.. I'm sorry Idea Migration didnt pan out.. I do feel that suggesting a 3rd party tool did address your original question. It is of course implied that windows itself does not do this & a 3rd party tool was required, I suggested one..The suggestion obviously led you to find another one & eventual success...
-Deleting this question would not be a fair choice here..
