Both great answers, and I thought it was only that I needed to enable Guest access, but accepting this answer because I ended up having to allow guests to write to the file system point where the the printer docs are spooled. &nbsp;You would think that allowing Guests to print would take care of this, but I guess not...

We have a flat network WORKGROUP, with Win 2K Pro machines. &nbsp;Each workstation has it's own local users. Whenever I try to share a printer by standard sharing and allowing &quot;Everyone&quot; to print, Other machines don't have access to add these printers as network printers. &nbsp;I get &quot;Access is Denied&quot;.<br />

Am I missing something with permissions?<br />

Hi,

We have a flat network WORKGROUP, with Win 2K Pro machines.  Each workstation has it's own local users. Whenever I try to share a printer by standard sharing and allowing "Everyone" to print, Other machines don't have access to add these printers as network printers.  I get "Access is Denied".

Am I missing something with permissions?

Printer sharing doesn't allow access

Windows 2000 is an operating system for use on both client and server computers. It is the successor to Windows NT 4.0, and is the last version of Microsoft Windows to display the "Windows NT" designation.
