How do I get networking to start before drives map?

I am having a problem.   Our network is wireless.   The network doesn't start on the machine until windows starts up and loads the wireless program to start the network card etc.  the problem I am having is that the network drives want to map before that, actually part of the logon process.   Is there a way to run the wireless program earlier before it maps the drives so it maps the drives???

Thanks,

Randy

If you set it up to run as a service, you can set the service to start at boot time.
The Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Resource Kit's srvany.exe is what you are looking for.  Srvany lets you run a program as a service.

ok I can do that, but how do I make sure that it starts before the network mapping takes place?

Randy
Set it up as a service.   Edit the service properties to start at boot time.  The choices are:
Automtic
Manual
Disabled

Set it to automatic.
Upgrade to windows xp
I added it as a service, and set it to automatic but the drives still try to connect and it fails....   is there any place to make the wireless service start before the network drives try and connect?

Randy
None that I know of or can find...
I ended up using a simple logon script 2 liner to map the drives
