Windows 2000 Server Event ID 10006
I've just rebooted my Windows 2000 Server and have suddenly started getting :
DCOM got error "Class not registered" from the computer server 2 when attempting to activate the server :
{5A5AA0AA-1DEB-4683-96B0-B 43301E8397 1}
Can anyone help me identify how to remove it please !!

It look as though its HP Printing on network what you reckon

Yes some idiot took a printer with a JetDirect card and installed it on server2 and shared it. Okay, thats fine nothing wrong there but they then went and added a network printer on server 1 which was pointing to the share on server2. And it really went crazy.
Just wish sometimes that DCOM errors were easier to track. Sometimes the Event ID numbers are suppsoed to correspond to certain events according to Microsoft but in actual effect they are something completely different.

To get rid of the error you can unregister hpbpro.dll and then delete the key "{5A5AA0AA-1DEB-4683-96B0- B43301E839 71}" under CLSID
