Adding environment variable via AD

Is there an easy way to add a new environment variable as a GPO option?  I'm developing a script based on OU and it would be much easier to use a variable than to make a minor change in the script and have a new version of the script for every OU.

Someone in another thread mentioned something that made it sound like you could, so I posted this question and gave a link in that thread to have them see this one.  I haven't been able to find a way, but if there is, I would love to use it.

Ah.  That's about the same as my custom script for each OU that has the name of the OU typed into a local variable for the script.

Maybe I should suggest that option at https://www.windowsserverfeedback.com/
