Cannot Access LAN properties in windows 2000 advance server
Hello,
Why is it that i cannot access LAN properties on my windows 2000 advance server even though i'm logged in as administrator?
I don't think I have administrative rights at all. I created a another user with domain admin rights but still was unable to get access to my LAN properties/
Any URGENT help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I login with administrator account into windows 2000 advance server. I use to be able to access LAN properties and make changes. I'm not sure when this happen but I had added a second server with no AD as a member of the first server mentioned above.
I also added 2 dns servers to the Forward list in DSN management.
Not sure what could have caused this

aha... and what is actually happening, if you call the LAN properties?

You do not have sufficient privileges for accessing connection properties. Contact administrator
Hooray, the error message arrived ;)
I can reproduce your problem after I set the follwing policy: use gpedit.msc
---
User Configuration\Administrati ve Templates\Network\Network and Dial up
connection
"Prohibit access to properties of a LAN connection"

I already did that... I disabled "Prohibit access to properties of a LAN connection" then restarted the pc but it still didn't give me access to LAn Properties.
