Unzipping Multiple Files
I have over a hundred seperately-zipped files, how can I unzip all of them without having to it one at a time with WinZip?

Open WinZip, then highlight all 100+ files and drag-and-drop them onto WinZip.

Download a copy of PKUNZIP (V2.04) and give the command:

PKUNZIP * /O /N

bchew : i'm not sure what winzip you're using but when i do that, winzip asks me if i want to add them all to a single archive :)

strider : i'm not sure what mark2150 said would work, but it is similar to what i do. copy all the files to a dir, and then either make a copy of pkunzip.exe into this dir or make a path statement to it.

then go into ms-dos prompt and get to this dir. at the prompt just type pkunzip *.zip and that should do it for you.

Sorry, brain freeze this morning.  After selecting all files, right click in the selection and choose "Extract to...".

I just realized we're dealing with different programs, too!  I am telling you how to use PKZip for Windows...

You might try it, I like it a lot better than WinZip.

i dun think that would work very well when you have 100 copies of winzip going concurrently as well.. :)

V2.04 is free for the download. If you use the DOS version only one copy needs to run. The /O /N switches tell it to overwrite with newer only so you don't have to tell it [Ok] a hundred times while it runs.
