Ghosting NT 4 Server to a new drive

I just tried using Norton Ghost to copy one drive to a new drive on NT 4 Server (sp6) and now I can't boot.  The only odd software on the system is "Go Back" but I disabled that before ghosting.  When I try to boot from the new drive I get to the login screen and the system imediately reboots as if I hit the restart button.

I tried to solve it by booting back on the old drive and removing the drive letters from the new drive but that didnt help.  I then tried changing the c drive on the old drive to i: so I could set the new drive to use c: but that just gave me the same booting problem on the old drive as the new drive.

So, now I'm stuck with 2 drives and  neither of which will boot.  Is there a way to change the drive letter from a command line?  I can boot of a cd and do command line work but I dont know what to do.

Please help!

well, i'd also like to find some sort of text based ( command line) registry editor to try some registry tweaks.  I've heard that it could be the "reboot on crash" setting is turned on or I could delete the "disk" key and force nt to re-assign drive letters.

Ok, i got it fixed.  All i had to do was delete the registry subkey under "disk".  Getting a command line registry editor was the hard part.  I found a bootable disk online with tools on it for NT registry hacking/cracking and that enabled me to do it.

I don't know if I can answer my own question so maybe I should just give the points to you, ahmedbahgat, since you took the time to respond.
nouse33, how you edited the registry without booting windows?

cheers

I had to use a special boot disk (running linux) that has a text mode registry editor.

you can check it out here:
